Merely five releases deep into its story, and Max Dean’s neXup recz continues to stake its claim as one of underground dance music’s hottest bits of real estate. Following well-received releases from respected names, including Luke Dean, Danny Snowden, and Candidate, the latest offering on the fast-rising UK-based outfit comes from celebrated Northern Irish youngster Robbie Doherty as he unveils his ‘Work It’ EP. Featuring a duo of cuts that showcase Robbie’s ever-maturing sound, his latest release kicks off with the title cut, ‘Work It’, drawing inspiration from seminal dance sounds with retro drum sounds, gritty bass tones, euphoric pads and hedonistic vocals to carve out an undeniably standout, genre-crossing track.
‘Work It’ has already begun capturing global dancefloors from Sunwaves to Space Miami, London’s Drumsheds and countless others due to early support from several tastemaker artists, including Seth Troxler, Danny Howard, Chris Stussy, Rossi, ALISHA and neXup frontman himself, Max Dean.
B-side ‘In Your Mind’ highlights even more of the sonic characteristics that have seen Robbie amass ever-growing support from fans and other artists alike. Another toughened House record packed with punchy rhythms, chunky, driving bass, dusty percussive flare and hooking vocals throughout, bringing his neXup recz debut to an impressive close.

Drawing inspiration from 90s House and Trance, Robbie blends these influences with Deep House vibes in his productions and DJ sets.
