Michigan’s Myles Sergé readies his next audio adventure FANPRO, a generous seven-piece package that gently explores how a single idea can evolve through different hands and perspectives. As the founder of the (MS) imprint, Sergé has also welcomed highly respected voices such as Dustin Zahn and Rennie Foster. This release continues that spirit of dialogue, pairing the original with three thoughtful remixes and alternate versions.
The opening cut presents “FANPRO” in its pure form: a raw synth lead coils above patient bass movement and classic claps, establishing a mood that feels both direct and unhurried. Berlin-based Toxido Mask follows with a spacious, dub-tinged interpretation, allowing the elements to breathe inside cavernous reverbs. Ackermann’s version drifts into warmer territory, its jacking percussion and subtle stabs recalling the reflective side of late-night dance floors.
Myk Derill then guides the track toward darker corners, where muted kicks and delayed tones create a hypnotic, inward pull. The additional takes “v3,” “The Classic Version,” and “v4” all function like alternate viewpoints rather than mere tools, ranging from ambient textures to playful, jazz-flecked abstraction.
Throughout the collection, Sergé’s understated production philosophy remains clear: restraint over excess, atmosphere over force. FANPRO feels less like a remix EP and more like a slow conversation between friends, each contribution adding a new shade to the same idea while respecting its quiet core.
