Josh Butler has made his long-awaited debut on PIV with the release of 'On The Dancefloor,' a four-track EP showcasing the breadth of the UK producer's groove-driven house sound.

Released following his appearance on the Factory 93 x PIV various artists compilation earlier this year, the EP marks Butler's first solo outing on the Dutch imprint. Across four tracks, he balances uplifting, vocal-led house with deeper, stripped-back club cuts, reflecting the versatility that has defined his productions for more than a decade.

Opening with the title track, 'On The Dancefloor' delivers a sun-soaked blend of crisp percussion, soulful vocals and warm instrumentation, elevated by a memorable saxophone lead that gives the record an unmistakable summer feel. Built around infectious groove rather than peak-time intensity, it sets the tone for the release's melodic and musical approach.

The second half of the EP heads into deeper territory. 'Hap Hazzard' leans into rolling rhythms and understated house grooves, while 'Final Round' closes the package with a skippy, dub-influenced production designed for late-night dancefloors.

Since emerging on the international house scene, Butler has built a reputation for combining the foundations of classic house music with contemporary production. Releases on labels including Cajual Records and Kaoz Theory have established him as one of the UK's most consistent producers, while his own ORIGINS RCRDS imprint has spent almost a decade bridging generations of house music through releases from artists such as Kerri Chandler, Marshall Jefferson, Todd Terry, ANOTR and Dennis Cruz.

With On The Dancefloor, Butler's arrival on PIV feels like a natural fit, pairing one of modern house music's most respected producers with a label renowned for championing timeless groove, musicality and dancefloor-focused records.
