Dias Ridge returns to Magnetic Magazine Recordings with ‘Interstice / Balance’, marking the label’s 50th release.

The two-track EP stays focused on function. Both cuts lean into clean arrangement, controlled pacing and a clear sense of movement, designed to sit naturally within a mix rather than dominate it.

‘Interstice’ sets the tone. Built around tight drum programming and a steady low end, the track develops gradually through small shifts in tone and filtering. There are no abrupt changes or heavy breakdowns. Instead, the groove evolves in a way that feels consistent, making it easy to work into longer blends while maintaining energy on the floor.

‘Balance’ follows a similar framework but shifts the harmonic centre. Additional rhythmic details and subtle variation give it a different feel without moving too far away from the core identity of the EP. It offers DJs an alternative that sits in the same space but works across different moments in a set.

That cohesion is key.

Both tracks feel connected in approach, prioritising clarity and usability while still offering enough detail to reward closer listening. It’s a release that doesn’t overreach, instead focusing on precision and control.

With ‘Interstice / Balance’, Dias Ridge delivers a concise, club-ready EP, while Magnetic Magazine Recordings continues to build a catalogue centred on producers with a clear studio process and a strong understanding of dancefloor dynamics.
