Dianthe is back on Solid Audio with a dark and menacing techno single that also includes a remix by Maksim Dark.
Based in America, Dianthe is known for an atmospheric style of techno that combines hard-hitting percussion, eerie pads, and intense melody. This is her second time working with Solid Audio, adding to a catalogue that also includes music on the likes of Alula Tunes, Subios Records, and DENSE AUDIO.
There is a distinct musicality to Dianthe's music, linked to her background as a classically trained pianist, and her love of metal/heavy rock music inspires the aggressive energy within her sound. She is also a skilled DJ who plays regular shows on America's West Coast.
On remix duty, Maksim Dark is well known for his music on record labels ranging from Senso Sounds to SCI+TEC. He produces driving techno tracks that have throbbing grooves, hints of euphoria and ominous tension.
"Time Control" is the solo original track, and it's got a thumping kick drum and lurching bassline laying a foundation for cascading melody stabs. Eerie pads and murky textures create brooding suspense leading to the euphoria of the breakdown, then the drums slam back in, and the intensity lifts to soaring heights.
Maksim Dark's remix of "Time Control" is a stripped-back version with a new bassline and shuffling hi-hats, changing the flow of the groove. Ethereal pads add to the epic sound of the original's melody parts, and the breakdown is filled with suspense, as it builds towards a spiralling crescendo.

Really interesting release, especially the way Dianthe and Maksim Dark have blended that darker peak-time techno energy into something that still feels very structured and controlled. The track “Time Control” kind of fits the name perfectly because it has that steady, driving rhythm but also these shifts in intensity that keep it from feeling repetitive. Maksim Dark’s remix style really shows here too, very deep, slightly hypnotic but still powerful on the drop sections, which is what makes it work well for club sets. It’s the kind of track that DJs can build a whole mood around rather than just dropping it randomly in a playlist. I also like how modern techno releases like this are still experimenting with atmosphere…
