Global dancefloors just got a serious dose of sparkle. Grammy Award-winning DJ and producer Dave Audé, known for his work with Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Madonna, has dropped a high-energy remix of Tony & The Kiki’s explosive single ‘Keep Shinin’ On’.
The original track, lifted from the band’s latest EP Fornication Under Consent of Queens, Volume 1, marked their first release on Tomboi Records after signing to the Australian indie label last year. It’s pure glam-rock excess with disco-driven drums, funky synths, and arena-sized vocals that feel somewhere between Queen and Gaga’s The Fame era.
Audé’s remix transforms the anthem into a festival-ready fusion of nu-disco and EDM, bursting with bright synths, relentless four-to-the-floor grooves and massive euphoric drops. It’s glitter, grit and emotion all at once, a mix built for crowded clubs, underground raves and Pride main stages.
Speaking on the remix, Audé said:
“I’ve remixed hundreds of songs over the years, but what excites me most is when a new artist brings something truly different to the table. Tony & The Kiki aren’t like most up-and-coming bands; their sound and energy are totally their own.”
Tony added:
“Keep Shinin’ On was always meant to be an anthem for the girls, gays, theys and anyone who feels like they’ve been counted out. Dave took it to a level we didn’t think possible. It’s a sea of sound you just want to bathe in.”
Known for their fearless queer-glam identity, Tony & The Kiki fuse rock swagger with disco heat, bridging genres and reshaping pop culture in real time. With growing social numbers, sold-out NYC shows, and a devoted fanbase, they’ve become one of the most exciting names in modern alt-pop.
This autumn, Tony joins Brian Newman at The Box, NYC, for his After Dark series before the band heads to Palm Springs Pride for their West Coast debut.
