‘OD’ brings together several strands of Daskal’s creative background. The producer has worked across dance, theatre and film environments, and those influences surface across the record through structured rhythms, layered synth arrangements and carefully paced transitions. Rather than leaning entirely toward peak-time club functionality, the album explores how electronic music can sit between listening spaces and dancefloor settings.

Co-production comes from Dori Sadovnik of Red Axes, adding additional rhythmic focus across the album’s production. Tracks shift between driving percussion patterns and slower melodic passages, creating a record that balances movement with atmosphere.

The album’s lead single, ‘Changes’, arrives with a visual project directed by Tamir Faingold, featuring performers from the Batsheva Dance Company. The piece approaches electronic music through choreography, translating the emotional tension of nightlife and club culture into physical performance.

Elsewhere across ‘OD’, tracks such as ‘1992’ combine piano arpeggios with bass-driven drum programming, while the title track ‘OD’ introduces orchestral textures alongside syncopated percussion and shifting synth motifs.

Released through Life and Death, ‘OD’ positions Daskal within a growing group of producers exploring the intersection of electronic music, composition and performance.
