Beastwang kicks off 2026 with a full-scale, multi-room rave rooted firmly in local culture, returning to 2Funky Complex on Friday, 30th January. Running from 10pm to 4am, the night follows a sold-out Halloween return and signals a confident start to the year for one of Leicester’s most vital underground platforms.

The event will take over five immersive spaces, each programmed to reflect a different corner of the UK underground music scene. The main room leans into multi-genre energy, while two separate rooms are dedicated to drum and bass in all its forms. Dubstep and grime run heavy elsewhere, bringing raw low-end pressure into the mix. Adding something new for 2026, Beastwang introduces a fifth room built as a sensory chill-out space, featuring ambient electronic DJs, soft lighting, and seating designed to give dancers space to reset before diving back in.

True to Beastwang’s ethos, the lineup is entirely local: no headline bookings, no imported names, and no shortcuts. The focus remains on Midlands artists pushing sound forward and providing a platform for emerging DJs and producers in a full-scale rave setting. This conscious move reinforces Beastwang’s role as a scene builder, not merely a booking vehicle.
