AVRENNI Introduces New Project With ‘Coldhelix’
AVRENNI has introduced a new electronic music project with ‘Coldhelix’, the first release under his latest creative identity and an opening statement for his Northscape label.
The project draws on several years spent working within electronic music through previous iterations, but arrives with a newly defined direction. Rather than treating AVRENNI as simply another production alias, the concept is built around music as a vehicle for wider ideas, balancing dancefloor functionality with a more deliberate thematic approach.
‘Coldhelix’ provides the first indication of how that translates sonically. A steady kick and rolling bassline establish its foundations before layers of synths, arpeggiated sequences and rhythmic motifs gradually enter the arrangement.
Instead of rushing towards a central drop, the track develops through smaller shifts in texture and intensity. Driving leads emerge alongside sweeping elements and an increasingly active low end, giving the production a sense of forward motion while allowing individual ideas room to develop.
That measured progression reflects the broader philosophy behind AVRENNI. The project takes ideas of arrival and return as recurring themes, drawing inspiration from human experience while attempting to capture the less tangible sense of connection that occurs on a dancefloor.
It also places independence at the centre of the artist’s next phase. Releasing through his own Northscape imprint gives AVRENNI greater control over how the project develops, with the intention of building a longer-term body of work rather than defining the sound around a single release.
As the first piece of that wider picture, ‘Coldhelix’ establishes the foundations without revealing everything at once. It introduces a sound centred on movement, detailed electronic production and gradual evolution, while leaving AVRENNI plenty of space to expand the concept through what follows.
