Dutch newcomer AAT is having a breakthrough moment. Her debut EP ‘Get Funky’, released on Haven Trax, signals the arrival of a confident new voice in house music. The two-track release brings playful sound design, tight grooves and a clear sense of purpose, showing why she’s fast becoming one of the Netherlands’ most exciting names.
“I wanted to create an EP that would blend perfectly with the real house sound I play in my sets,” she says. “For ‘Get Funky’, I really wanted a catchy, memorable melody, while ‘Like This’ is more energetic, with a playful vocal recorded by a vocalist. Both tracks feel very special to me, as it’s my first release ever, and I’ve been playing them in my sets for a long time already.”
That same spirit runs through her Undrscovered guest mix. It’s full of groove, colour and personality, blending styles and eras while keeping things firmly on the dancefloor. “I tried to keep the selection diverse by blending different subgenres of house,” she explains. “I always aim to keep things fresh and keep listeners engaged from start to finish.”
AAT’s rise has been fast. From winning Toffler Talents in 2023 to becoming an elrow resident and playing festivals like Loveland, Mysteryland and Boothstock, she’s quickly established herself across Europe and beyond. “Winning both contests changed everything,” she says. “Becoming an elrow resident and touring internationally still feels surreal. I’m truly grateful for the faith they’ve had in me so early in my career.”
Releasing on Haven Trax, the label connected to Amsterdam’s iconic Thuishaven, adds another milestone. “When I heard they were interested, I honestly couldn’t believe it,” she says. “It feels extra special that my debut is coming out on a Dutch label. I feel truly honoured.”
AAT’s Undrscovered mix captures exactly where she is right now, balancing confidence, energy and a deep love for the groove.
