  • JOHANNSON releases ‘Waenda’ on Groove Society Records with Afro and Latin House influences

JOHANNSON JOHANNSON continues his current run of releases with ‘Waenda’, out now via Groove Society Records. Following February’s ‘De Mi Corazon’, the track builds on a sound that sits between Afro and Latin House, balancing melodic depth with a clear focus on dancefloor movement. It’s a direction that feels consistent with his wider catalogue, while still pushing forward in terms of detail and execution. ‘Waenda’ opens with vocal-led momentum, setting the tone early. Expressive phrases sit over a steady groove, supported by evolving synth work and subtle risers that guide the track forward. As the arrangement develops, the energy builds gradually rather than relying on sudden changes, creating a sense of flow that runs through the entire record. Percussion plays a central role. Layered rhythms and warm low-end movement provide a solid foundation, while melodic elements add colour without overwhelming the mix. Arpeggiated patterns and atmospheric chords introduce variation, keeping the track engaging while maintaining its core direction. That balance reflects JOHANNSON’s approach. With more than two decades of experience behind him, his productions focus on clarity and control, allowing each element to contribute without excess. ‘Waenda’ sits comfortably within that space. It’s a track built on groove and progression, offering a refined blend of cultural influence and modern house production, designed to work across both open-air settings and late-night floors. • Tinlicker release ‘Release’ as new single from ‘Dreams of the Machine’ album

Tinlicker We’ve been listening to ‘Release’ from Tinlicker, and it feels like a shift rather than just another single. It still carries that familiar melodic DNA, but there’s something more direct about it. The groove lands quickly, built around a thick low end and clean percussion that keeps everything moving without overloading the arrangement. From there, ‘Release’ opens up through layered synth work that balances warmth with a slightly sharper edge. The vocal plays a bigger role this time. Hero Baldwin’s addition to the project feels central, not just an extra layer. Her voice cuts through the mix with clarity, sitting right at the front of the track and shaping how everything else unfolds. It adds a human weight that contrasts with the more mechanical feel of the synths underneath. That tension is what stands out most. ‘Release’ leans into the space between organic and synthetic, with robotic textures sitting alongside more emotional melodic moments. The track never feels pulled too far in either direction, instead holding everything in a steady balance. Compared to earlier Tinlicker material, this feels more intentional in its message. The production still works on the dancefloor, but there’s a clear idea running through it, especially in how the vocal interacts with the arrangement. We’ve found it sits well in that transition space in a set. Not quite peak-time, not quite a reset, but something that pulls people back into focus. ‘Release’ feels like a sign of where Tinlicker are heading next, both in sound and in how they approach their music moving forward. • Montêtna ‘Parco’ explores cinematic lo-fi house with immersive club energy

Montêtna ‘Parco’ feels like a shift in perspective. Montêtna opens the space up here, leaning into something wider and more immersive without losing control of the groove. The rhythm sits steady underneath it all. A deep house foundation keeps things moving, but it doesn’t dominate. It’s there to anchor the track while everything else expands outward. That’s where ‘Parco’ finds its identity. The sound design carries most of the weight. Cinematic textures build gradually, layering into something that feels more like an environment than a track. There’s a sense of distance to it, not detached, just open. It gives the track room to breathe. Nothing is rushed. Each element comes in with intent, settles, then makes space for the next. That pacing gives the track a calm confidence. It doesn’t need to force anything. There’s a balance between movement and atmosphere that holds throughout. The groove keeps your body engaged, but the wider textures pull your focus elsewhere. It works on two levels without either one taking over. We’ve found this sits best in moments where energy isn’t the priority. It keeps things flowing, but shifts the mood into something more reflective. ‘Parco’ doesn’t push for attention. It changes the feeling of the room instead. Montêtna https://instagram.com/mtetna.wav https://open.spotify.com/artist/2mOaJ5wiz6P3aZecK6nU6J

  • Patrick Topping taps Murphy’s Law for ‘Want U’ remix.

Fresh off his Solid Grooves smash debut, Patrick Topping marks six months of his summer anthem ‘Want U’ by recruiting breakout duo Murphy’s Law for a blistering new rework. The brothers twist the original into a hazy,heads-down club roller, blending soft neon synth colours, a raspy 90s bassline, and a euphoric vocal glow. Classic piano stabs cut through the mix with razor-sharp precision, pushing the track into full peak-time pandemonium. “We are really excited to put this remix out for Patty T on his infamous imprint, Trick. We have been fans of his music for the past 10 years, so to be asked to put our spin on his single ‘Want U’ is a huge honour for us. We wanted to take the remix in a completely different direction from the original, and we thought that a moody club roller was the perfect way to go. The first time we ever tested this out was b2b with Patrick in Tenerife, and we knew from that moment on that it had a special spark about it! It’s been doing the business in our sets over the past few months and we are super happy to finally be able to share it with you all.” – Murphy’s Law Murphy’s Law – brothers Sonny and Finn Murphy – have cemented themselves as key voices in modern house, thanks to their emotive hooks, infectious grooves, and high-energy sets. • DJ Hell releases new 'NEOCLASH' album on his International Deejay Gigolo imprint

DJ HELL – The Godfather of Electroclash Reloaded The new album NEOCLASH is a manifesto for the aesthetic relevance of electronic club music. DJ Hell shows that electroclash in 2025 can sound innovative and visionary rather than nostalgic. NEOCLASH bridges the past and present of electronic dance culture and club music. DJ Hell is more than just a musician – he is a cultural force that connects club culture with fashion and art. Since the 1980s, Hell has not only been a style-defining figure with groundbreaking influence within the electronic music scene, but has also become a key figure and icon in the field of tension between subculture, pop and high culture over the last few decades. DJ Hell represents a queer, decadent, intellectual, and avant-garde scene that consciously distances itself from the mainstream. In his work, he often deals with themes such as gender, sexuality, subculture, and provocation. Back in the 1990s, he laid the foundation for what would later become known as electroclash with his label International Deejay Gigolo Records—a hybrid of 1980s new wave, punk attitude, techno, electro, and post-ironic camp aesthetics. Hell was not only part of this movement, but also its actual conceptualizer and namesake. In this respect, his role can be compared to that of an artistic curator who brings together and transforms stylistic, visual, and ideological trends. DJ Hell is thus not only a producer, but also an artistic and aesthetic thinker whose work possesses a semiotic depth that places him in the canon of contemporary cultural production. His productions are not just tracks, but discourses in the medium of sound. DJ Hell attaches great importance to visual presentation, with artistically designed album covers and music videos. He has collaborated with renowned artists and photographers such as Wolfgang Tillmans, Ellen von Unwerth, and Tom of Finland, as well as fashion designers such as Hugo Boss, Vivienne Westwood, and Rick Owens. Hell has been involved in fashion shows, often providing the soundtracks and performing. His personal style—a mixture of dandy, punk, and futurism—has made him a style icon in the fashion world. NEOCLASH is DJ Hell's new work. The electroclash of the early 2000s is reconstructed here, its characteristic codes extracted and transformed into a modern, reflective form. NEOCLASH is a cultural experiment—music as a medium for reflection, for structuring space and time, and as a vehicle for exploring the tensions between technology, the body, and perception. The new album is a manifesto for the aesthetic relevance of electronic club music, with strong old-school references in a new understanding. DJ Hell, aka Helmut Josef Geier, presents a contemporary reinterpretation of the electroclash genre. His label, International Deejay Gigolo Records, set the pace 25 years ago – and Hell gave his name to a movement. Godfather of Electroclash reloaded. After many milestones, DJ Hell returns to his roots with NEOCLASH – and shows that Electroclash in 2025 can sound innovative and visionary rather than nostalgic. NEOCLASH is a bridge between the past and present in electronic dance culture and club music. Italo disco, new wave, indie dance, disco, pop, Chicago house, acid, Detroit techno, and avant-garde music are fused here into a new interpretation. The limited edition 2xLP comes in transparent red and crystal clear. • Club Guesthouse at 15. Inside the Documentary That Reveals the Heartbeat of Bucharest’s Minimal Scene

Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu and Raresh at Club Guesthouse Bucharest’s iconic Club Guesthouse celebrates 15 years with a new documentary, If These Walls Could Talk, a film that traces the venue’s evolution from a hidden house party on Traian 42 to one of Europe’s most respected hubs for deep, hypnotic and long-form electronic music. The documentary blends intimate interviews with Cap, Herodot, Edward, Priku and architect Corvin Cristian with rare archive footage capturing the club’s quiet rise. Guesthouse’s journey has been defined by subtle transformation rather than spectacle. Each relocation preserved the same core values: marathon storytelling through sound, engineering-level attention to acoustics, and a community that comes not to be seen but to disappear into the flow. The film highlights the architectural and sonic craftsmanship behind its reputation, showing how the club became a symbol of purity in the Romanian minimal and deep-tech continuum. Ultimately, If These Walls Could Talk is a meditation on time, space and collective experience. It reminds us that Guesthouse grew into an institution not through hype but through consistency, intention and the kind of deep listening that has shaped a generation of dancers and artists.

  • Devin Wild returns with the "Among The Noise" EP on SCANTRAXX

Devin Wild- Press Photo Devin Wild released his new EP "Among The Noise", released on SCANTRAXX. The EP signals a bold shift in his sound, moving from accessible melodies to a darker, more aggressive, and underground-driven style. The EP’s sound is intense and raw: the cinematic opening of "Understanding (Intro) "sets the tone, while "Chaos (Always Comes)" — featuring Nathalie Blue’s vocals — lays an emotive foundation with deep basslines, sharp kicks, and palpable energy. "Dance With Madness" and "Hit Back" push the project into industrial-techno territories, balancing tension and dynamics with precision. "Silent (Left The System)" continues the descent into cold, mechanical atmospheres, while the outro "Among The Noise (Outro)" leaves listeners in a state of suspense and anticipation. Fans familiar with Devin Wild’s melodic work may be surprised: this time, the Dutch artist opts for harsher, more conceptual expressions. The collaboration with Nathalie Blue on "Chaos (Always Comes)" is the only vocal feature, highlighting the contrast with the remaining instrumental tracks, all charged with raw and experimental energy. With "Among The Noise", Devin Wild proves once again why he remains a leading figure in the avant-garde hard dance scene: fearless, visionary, and redefining the boundaries of the genre. Vicius (BR) - Press Photo Brazilian producer Vicius (BR) debuts with his first full-length album, "I Dream a Dream", a flowing collection of ambient textures, house grooves, and techno pulses. From the ethereal opening of "Intro", with light synths and airy pads, to the suspended close of "Fever Dream [Outro Version]" featuring Zanna (BR), the album moves between weightless reflection and subtle rhythmic tension. On "Memory or Dream", the collaboration with Zanna (BR), delicate memories meet a trace of unease, while "Space Dust" and "Deformation" explore strange, almost alien shapes of sound.
