- Alex Farell Announces Debut Album ‘Youngest In Charge’ On Sara Landry’s HEKATE
Alex Farell Liverpool producer Alex Farell has announced his debut album, Youngest In Charge, marking a major milestone in the rapid rise of one of the UK's most exciting young techno artists. Set for release on 30th October via Sara Landry's HEKATE imprint, the ten-track album will be preceded by its first single, 'Club Acid', arriving on 24th July. The project explores the many corners of Farell's evolving sound, combining hard techno, hard dance, trance, acid and psytrance into a cohesive body of work built for modern dancefloors. Still only 19 years old, Farell has already built an impressive reputation on the international circuit. Having started DJing at home at the age of 12 and playing his first shows at 14 under the supervision of his parents, he has since performed at major events including Creamfields, Parklife, Terminal V, Blackstone Warehouse and Warehouse Project, establishing himself as one of the fastest-rising names in the harder end of electronic music. Leading the campaign is 'Club Acid', a warehouse-ready production driven by rolling acid lines, fluid grooves and relentless energy. According to Farell, the track was inspired by signing to some of the labels he had admired growing up and was written with the ambition of creating something his musical heroes would want to play. Rather than serving as a collection of standalone club tracks, Youngest In Charge presents a broader artistic statement, showcasing Farell's ability to balance high-impact dancefloor moments with deeper, more cinematic production across its ten tracks. With support continuing to build around his releases and live performances, the album represents another significant step in the career of a producer who has quickly become one of the standout young talents shaping the future of contemporary techno. Volume 3 captures that balance perfectly, pairing long-standing Freerange favourites with emerging names who continue to push the imprint's soulful, forward-thinking sound. Leading the release is Atjazz, who makes his debut as an original artist on Freerange with 'Love You Day One'. Built around warm chords, rolling basslines and the producer's unmistakable musicality, the track delivers the soulful house sound that has defined his career. Elsewhere, Blue Method contributes 'Agora', blending deep house with hypnotic rhythms inspired by both Swiss precision and Cameroonian musical heritage, while Megatronic teams up with Belgian vocalist Mona Lee for 'Questions', a late-night house cut balancing textured percussion with introspective vocals. The second half of the EP welcomes back Andre Lodemann, whose 'For Those Who Care' leans into atmospheric deep house with understated emotion, before fellow Freerange mainstay Manuel Tur delivers the stripped-back, synth-led groove of 'Key Race Alert'. Closing the release, Manchester producer James Kumo explores dub-infused house on 'Jazz Dimensions', drawing inspiration from the timeless musicality of artists such as Ron Trent. Thirty years after its launch, Freerange continues to prove why it remains one of house music's most respected independent labels. 30 Years Of Freerange Vol. 3 reinforces the imprint's commitment to soulful club music while bridging its rich history with the next generation of electronic music talent. - DJ Soch Makes WOLF Debut With Four-Track ‘Let Me Tell You’ EP
DJ Soch WOLF has welcomed Italian house stalwart DJ Soch to the label with the release of WOLFEP088, a four-track EP that pairs soulful club energy with deep, groove-led house music. You can grab your copy here. Out today (24th July), the release marks DJ Soch's first appearance on the imprint. Active since the mid-1980s, the producer, DJ and Black Angus Records founder has spent more than four decades developing a sound influenced by Chicago house, Detroit techno, disco, funk and hip-hop, while playing a key role in Italy's underground electronic music scene through his long-running residency at Serendipity. Leading the EP is 'Let Me Tell You', a powerful slice of soulful house driven by skipping drums, warm keys, church organ stabs and an irresistible bassline. A heartfelt male vocal sits at the centre of the record, delivering the kind of uplifting, late-night energy that has long defined classic US house music. Accompanying it is the Power Mix, which strips back the vocal to place even greater emphasis on the track's rich instrumentation and soaring organ work. On the flip, 'Chewing Gum' shifts into deeper territory with a hypnotic groove built for extended club sessions. The original is joined by a remix from Prince Palmer, who injects the track with unmistakable 1990s US garage influences while maintaining its understated dancefloor appeal. The result is a reinterpretation that pays homage to the golden era of labels such as Strictly Rhythm without feeling confined by nostalgia. With WOLFEP088, DJ Soch makes an assured debut on one of house music's most respected underground labels, delivering a collection that balances soulful warmth, timeless grooves and club-ready functionality. - D'Swing Revives Lost '90s Recordings For Razor-N-Tape 45 Series
D'Swing / Danny Kane London producer Danny Kane is revisiting an overlooked chapter of his catalogue with the release of Early Tapes, a two-track EP arriving as part of Razor-N-Tape's acclaimed 45 series. Released under his D'Swing alias, the project breathes new life into recordings originally created during the 1990s for his street soul and UK garage outfit of the same name. Rather than simply remastering the originals, Kane returned to the source material, restoring the original masters before reimagining them as contemporary disco records that retain the warmth and character of their original recordings. The result is a pair of groove-led cuts built around crisp live drums, expressive musicianship and soulful vocal performances, combining vintage songwriting with a fresh dancefloor sensibility. While rooted in the sounds that shaped D'Swing's early output, the release sits comfortably alongside Razor-N-Tape's modern catalogue, which has become synonymous with soulful disco, house and edits. The EP also offers a reminder of Kane's wide-ranging career. Over more than three decades, he has worked as a producer, bassist, keyboard player and songwriter alongside artists including All Saints, Sara Nelson, Bitty McLean and Robert Owens, while also co-producing UB40's Labour of Love III. His remix credits span Chaka Khan, Amp Fiddler, Kim English and Beres Hammond, and more recently he has enjoyed success in the house world as one half of Jakkin Rabbit, releasing on labels including Hot Creations, No.19, Simma Black and Audio Rehab. Early Tapes marks the latest evolution of Kane's musical journey, reconnecting with his early influences while introducing a new audience to recordings that have waited decades to find their moment. The full Early Tapes EP is released digitally and on 7-inch vinyl via Razor-N-Tape on 24th July, following the release of lead single 'Dream It' and the opening of vinyl pre-orders on 26th June. - Micah Baxter & Elroy (AUS) Deliver Underground Weapon ‘Like That’ On Techords
Micah Baxter, Elroy (AUS) Continuing the label's reputation for championing forward-thinking underground club music, Micah Baxter and Elroy (AUS)'s ‘Like That’ delivers a gritty, groove-led take on modern tech house while drawing inspiration from electro, breaks and classic analogue production. From the opening bars, the track settles into an infectious rolling rhythm. Thick, gluey basslines lock tightly with crisp percussion, while abrasive synth textures gradually emerge to create an atmosphere that feels both tense and hypnotic. Rather than relying on oversized drops, the record steadily evolves through subtle modulation and rhythmic variation, rewarding long blends and extended dancefloor moments. What gives ‘Like That’ its identity is the way it looks beyond contemporary tech house conventions. Fleeting electro flourishes, broken-beat influences and retro-leaning synth work weave naturally into the arrangement, adding character without disrupting the track's relentless forward momentum. The result is something that feels fresh while quietly acknowledging the sounds that helped shape underground dance music. Both Micah Baxter and Elroy (AUS) bring a clear understanding of restraint to the collaboration. Every element serves the groove, allowing the production to build tension through movement rather than excess. It is a track that trusts the dancefloor, offering DJs a versatile weapon designed for late-night club spaces where subtle details matter. ‘Like That’ also continues Techords' consistent commitment to releasing records that prioritise originality over trends. Its combination of driving low-end, textured sound design and understated experimentation makes it another standout addition to the label's growing catalogue. Underground, distinctive and effortlessly playable, ‘Like That’ is another reminder that some of the strongest club records are built on groove first and everything else second. - Tim Xavier And D-Knox Announce Collaborative ‘Soul Kraft’ EP
Tim Xavier And D-Knox Tim Xavier and D-Knox have come together for Soul Kraft, a new six-track collaborative EP born from a year-long creative exchange between Berlin and Warsaw. Built around hardware experimentation, modular sequencing and an instinctive writing process, the project sees the pair explore a deeper, more considered side of contemporary techno. Rather than chasing peak-time intensity, Soul Kraft unfolds gradually, placing equal emphasis on atmosphere, texture and rhythmic evolution. The EP opens with the ambient tones of 'Soul Kraft Intro' before moving into the abstract rhythmic framework of 'Stream of Consciousness'. 'Off into the Abyss' continues the journey with restrained grooves and slowly shifting textures, while the second half introduces new rhythmic ideas through the broken-beat movement of 'Tomorrow Is a Rainy Day' and the hypnotic modular patterns of '3choes of 3ther'. Closing track 'Dead Stare Grinder' delivers the release's most driving moment, pairing rough-edged synth work with measured, deliberate progression while maintaining the EP's understated approach. Although firmly rooted in dancefloor culture, Soul Kraft extends beyond club functionality. Across its six tracks, the release favours patience over instant gratification, allowing subtle production details and evolving arrangements to take centre stage. The collaboration has already attracted support from respected selectors including Marcel Dettmann, Raresh, Ben Sims and Dustin Zahn, further highlighting its appeal within the underground techno community. - Wippenberg Continues Comeback With New Teletech Single ‘Oi!’
Wippenberg Wippenberg continues his return to electronic music with the release of ‘Oi!’, a new hard dance single via Teletech, available to buy/stream now. The German producer first emerged in the mid-1990s, earning widespread recognition with ‘Neurodancer’, an acid trance anthem that became one of the defining rave records of its era. His productions and remixes went on to shape the sound of the late '90s and early 2000s, with work for artists including Van Dahl, ATB, Fragma, Tiësto and Blank & Jones, while tracks from his catalogue continue to receive support from contemporary DJs such as Ki/Ki, Marlon Hoffstadt, Pegassi and Benwal. After stepping away from music production and social media for almost a decade, Wippenberg returned in 2025 and has since embarked on a steady run of releases spanning multiple corners of the harder dance spectrum. Recent outings on Hannah Laing's DOOF Records, alongside collaborations with Mika Heggemann and support from artists including Azyr and DJ Hyperdrive, have reinforced his growing momentum. His latest release marks his debut on Teletech, one of the most recognisable brands in today's hard dance scene. Built around pounding percussion, rave-driven energy and an instantly memorable ska and punk-inspired vocal hook, ‘Oi!’ embraces the high-intensity sound currently dominating festival stages and warehouse events across Europe. The release also highlights Wippenberg's ability to bridge generations of electronic music, drawing on decades of experience while aligning with the faster, harder direction that has fuelled the genre's recent resurgence. ‘Oi!’ is available via Teletech now, adding another chapter to Wippenberg's comeback and introducing his sound to a new wave of hard dance audiences. - Amix Brings Bright Tech House Energy to ‘Sunny Day In Bulgaria’
Amix Amix delivers a bright and uncomplicated tech house record on ‘Sunny Day In Bulgaria’, combining rolling percussion, groovy low-end and warm synth melodies with an easy-going sense of movement. Released through Kidron, the track is shaped for practical use in a DJ set while maintaining enough melodic character to remain engaging beyond the dancefloor. The production establishes its direction quickly. Crisp tech house drums provide a steady rhythmic framework, while the bassline adds bounce and weight without overpowering the arrangement. It is a groove designed to keep bodies moving rather than demand attention through oversized drops, giving the track a natural place within warm-up selections, daytime sessions and transitional moments in longer sets. Synth work brings much of the record’s personality. Created as part of Amix’s hardware-led process using analogue synthesisers and drum machines, the melodic elements carry a warmth that complements the cleaner rhythmic foundation. The combination gives ‘Sunny Day In Bulgaria’ a cheerful atmosphere without pushing it towards novelty or becoming overly sentimental. Its structure remains deliberately functional. Energy rises through gradual layering, rhythmic adjustments and subtle changes in texture rather than dramatic breakdowns. This measured progression makes the track easy to blend, allowing DJs to introduce or exit it without disrupting the wider flow of a set. There is little here designed to reinvent tech house, but that is not the record’s intention. Its appeal lies in its balance of groove, melody and usability. The arrangement stays focused, the production feels uncluttered and its upbeat mood remains consistent from beginning to end. ‘Sunny Day In Bulgaria’ is an enjoyable and versatile club cut from Amix. Driven by lively percussion, a buoyant bassline and warm analogue colour, it offers the kind of dependable dancefloor energy that can slot naturally into a set while still carrying a clear identity of its own.
